If you’re coming out of Hurley or up US-51, you’re at the door in minutes.
Wisconsin has no legal recreational cannabis, so shoppers regularly make the drive across the state line to buy legally in Michigan. No Wisconsin card and no Michigan residency required — any adult 21+ with a valid government-issued ID can shop. While Hurley and Mercer locals make short runs across the border, regulars also come from further into Wisconsin: Wausau is about two hours south on US-51, Eau Claire is roughly two and a half hours southwest, and Green Bay is about three hours southeast — all on straightforward highway routes into the U.P. For Wisconsin shoppers, Ironwood is the closest full recreational dispensary, and the drive is easier than it looks on a map.

High Profile Ironwood serves the western Upper Peninsula and a wide Wisconsin corridor stretching south and east along US-51 and US-2. On the Michigan side, Bessemer is about 6 miles east (roughly 9 minutes) and Wakefield about 12 miles out (around 34 minutes) — the whole Big Snow Country stretch within easy reach. On the Wisconsin side, Hurley is right across the bridge and Mercer sits about 25 miles down US-51. Further out, Wausau, Eau Claire, and Green Bay are the major Wisconsin markets making the trip north for a full recreational menu that isn’t available at home. The store is a regular stop for skiers, snowmobilers, and Northwoods visitors passing through this corner of the U.P., and a destination run for Wisconsin shoppers who want more selection than the medical-only options back home.

After placing an online order I headed to the store almost 3 plus hours after that. Online order was not ready when I arrived, I was about 30 minutes early for the pickup time I selected. Still I tipped the woman 5$ and change! Had to wait for order to be filled, had to return to the store to get gas card that I wasent given the first time! Then I get to wait while a manager has issues scanning in a gas card! Not a good experience for my first time online order! Check how much money I spend in this store! Never had an experience at Levels, RiZE, Higher Love, The Fire Station like this! I will likely pass at this establishment from now on! Time to Retrain Employees at High Profile Iornwood MI UPDATE!!!!! I have visited several times since this last interaction and I can say I am glad I took the chance to do so!
